WCW – WOMEN CRUSH WEDNESDAY
Just Like You… I Am Every Woman had the pleasure of interviewing another new and upcoming blogger. She is a mom of a beautiful baby boy. She seeks to share her journey of motherhood and educate other women about depression. Oh and guess what? Her son’s first name (Eliaz) is my son (Zachary’s) middle name except ours end with an S! Hadassah and her son is of Haitian descent and so are my children. Isn’t that cool? I don’t know about you, but I get excited over little things like this. The atmosphere is reflecting positive vibes. She too has joined my village and we have sparked a newfound friendship.
Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” —Helen Keller
Introducing: Esther “Hadassah” Regala
Hello! My name is Esther but I go by Hadassah. I’ve recently become a new mother to a baby boy named Eliaz. With his birth came my motivation and inspiration to start living my dreams and achieving goals.
justlikeyouiaew: What is the name of your brand, business, product or blog?
Hadassah: My blog is called brownmomrising.com
justlikeyouiaew: What is the purpose, benefit or mission?
Hadassah: The main purpose of this blog is to talk about my journey through this new experience called “motherhood”. I am a young black mother who struggles with depression and I also seek to let other brown moms out there know that they’re not alone. Through my struggles, I hope to be an inspiration. All the things I learn I want to share it and help someone else.
justlikeyouiaew: What inspired you to start or create your brand, business, product or blog?
Hadassah: Me becoming a mother is what inspired me to start my blog. I always wanted to start but I had no idea where or what to even really talk about. My world now evolves around my son and making sure he’s good. His existence is my push to keep on going and not give up.
justlikeyouiaew: Where are you from and where will you provide these services, resources, products or information?
Hadassah: I’m from Haiti but live In Massachusetts. My blog is available online and can be reached through any Mobile device.
justlikeyouiaew: How will you make an impact on your community?
Hadassah: I aspire to create a foundation to help mothers going through postpartum depression to educate them on the topic and support them in Haiti.
I can promise you that women working together – linked, informed and educated – can bring peace and prosperity to this forsaken planet.” —Isabel Allende
