I have an adventurous spirit and I have gained a love for traveling. As long as the adventures are planned and I have prepared my itinerary, I’m good to go!
As an Inner City Millennial, I’ve always wanted to “see the world” and experience everything this life has to offer.
As a Single Mother of 5 children three things comes to mind when I think of Vacation and Travel:
- Time Off From Work
- Lack of Help/Support
- Being the Sole Provider for 6 people (including myself) is tough. At some points in my life, it has been a struggle. As of today, I’m not 100% financially stable but I will say that I’m blessed more than most! Traveling can be costly. When you add additional people to the equation, it can get quite expensive.
- I am blessed to say that I have a career. I am a Patient Care Coordinator in the Dental Field. Some of the upsides of being a Professional and having a Career are the benefits package, incentives and bonuses. I have Sick Days, Vacation Days and some Paid Holidays off.
- Raising 5 children is complicating and challenging to say the least. Now imagine traveling with them all alone. I’ve experienced headaches, panic attacks, temper tantrums, yelling, “stray aways”… You name it!
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t let adversity define me, I see it as a challenge.
Each Thursday I will share some tips that allows me to afford trips and vacations on one income. I will also share some tips that help keep me Sane and Safe while traveling with my little ones.
